PF on Weekendz EP23 we're back after a little summer break, apparently it’s too late for a Happy New Year so we'll skip past all that noize and move right onto business. Although a little rusty after a few weeks off we manage to corner Aidan and Chris from Private Function in the studio in North Fitzroy as they finish mixing their up and coming new album, due out 3rd Sunday in May. Amidst the heat, the no fans, the beers and Nick Caves red velvet comfort drapes we discuss Melbourne swimming pools, Winning Awards, Red Rooster and Milla getting kicked out of the Arias, Rove McManus not getting kicked out of the Arias, Touring Europe in 24 (and twice again in 2025), Lauren speaking Spanish, Milla speaking French and Chris wanting to speak Esperanto, they also got to play live on Spanish tv, we then moved onto discussing a potential Nth American tour in 2026, which will include dates in Manitoba and Mexico, but the new album must come out first, there is a Koala song and Queenie makes a guest appearance too, Ween is an influence on the new album and ACDC is an influence each and every day, we talk about PF in NZ and also about Mitch winning the scratchy prize which he used to pay for his wedding (shout out to Mitch), we talk about a lot of things but also, Mesa Cosa, Dirty Juice, Laura Norda, Daddy Issues, Anthony's 10 bands, Oslo and partying with the drummer from Turbonegro, the PF Xmas Party boat cruise, Ideas and the black magic of confidence.

Private Function runs this town so you can catch them all over but they are also playing St Kilda Fest on the Sunday the 16th of Feb, they will be on the Catani Gardens South Stage from 5.15 to 6
