Satan On Weekendz EP14 we're at the Tote with Ben, Sue and Pip from local super group Plastic Section. We start off talking about such items as the definition of rock n roll and not being boring, the Cramps, the 5,6,7,8's, Bangkok Thailand, aspirations to play Japan, The Exotics and the million and half other local bands that all 3 have played in over the years. Ben delves into the origins of the band and the beauty of rock n roll, Sue takes us back to the early days of the Wet Ones playing with Fred Negro at the Ballroom while still at high school through to Girl Monstar supporting the Ramones at the Palace, Pip launches into his 20 year fantastical journey to eventually playing a bass guitar taking detours via submarines, London squats, introducing cider to Blind Melon and band managing Screwtop Denotators. Theres a lot going, its fun and you're bound learn something.
Plastic Section will be releasing a new album shorty, keep your eyes open. Gigs will follow in rapid succession. If you want to catch them in the meantime they are playing a Monday night gig post River Rocks weekend at Last Chance
